The Apprentice s8 Week 10

A 21st century spin on the usual Apprentice haggling this week as the teams have to negotiate cut-price luxury (which seems like a bit of a paradox to me) offers on behalf of a daily deal website.  Double-click!

Finally! I don’t think I could have sat through another episode with Stephen in it – not only is he useless at all the tasks, but his boardroom chat sends me into apoplexy.

Gabrielle going was a bit of a shock in comparison – I know we all thought her business plan was the trump card keeping her in – but in terms of actual performance she’s hardly set the heather alight the last few weeks so it was overdue.

It all worked out OK in the end. I was sad to see Gabrielle go – I wish we’d at least got to see what her business plan was, but maybe it was the new design agency she has just launched – http://www.webethree.co.uk/ – which certainly looks the part. As you say, CJ, her task performances were often lacklustre, but I still thought she had much more to offer than Adam or Jade. Oh well.

Stephen, well, YEEEEESSSS! Notwithstanding his inability to live up to his promise from last week, everything he did in this task exemplified why he had to go. Finally, he wasn’t able to pin the blame on someone else, and his treatment of Gabrielle throughout the task was patronising in the extreme – it was almost as if he was channelling the Adam of the early weeks.

Tom’s losing a bit of his shine, but I’m still confident. This feels like the take-the-favourite-down-a-peg and the make-everyone-else-a-bit-more-credible edits combined to me. But I’d have no problem with Nick winning either. Or even Ricky, who I have warmed to over the past few weeks now he has calmed down and stopped sloganising every 5 minutes.

The usual ramblings of a mad-man over at my gaffe:
