Ryan and Nathan count: 0 for 2, excellent start. “Origins” story about Alex’s past: hm, not so sure.
But if you’ve seen this, you’ll know that, despite the flashbacks and the human traffickers and the annoying Irina character, I loved it anyway. Dudes. Michael and Nikita in the same room? Check. Michael and Nikita working and fighting together? Check. Nikita accidentally saying something so revealing that both Michael and I raised our eyebrows (mine with accompanying squee, his with quizzical expression)? Check, check, CHECK!
To be honest, I should probably just give Nikita episodes a shipper points rating rather than try and pretend I care about anything else – it’s not like I’m fooling anybody. However, even if poor Alex doesn’t get much a look-in with me, the flashbacks could have been worse, I absolutely loved the Anastasia parallel and her reclaiming her identity at the end was kind of cool; origins story or not, the whole episode was much more entertaining than it should have been.
