Chuck ep 5

“Stakeouts are kinda fun!” says Chuck, scarfing down some shrimp and listening to “Private Eyes” by Hall & Oates.  The same could be said of this episode – kinda fun but not the full-on genius of which ‘Chuck’ is capable.  The “spy” plot was fine, some nonsense about the kidnap of a Chinese diplomat.  But the “home” plot was just annoying: Morgan and Ellie, Chuck’s sister, whining about how, y’know, he didn’t spend as much time with them as he used to.

Perhaps I’m being a bit picky because of the high standards previously set – and anyway, who couldn’t love a girl that beautiful with a colon that spastic?

I agree – thought it was an ok episode but not brilliant. Chuck’s scenes were great, everybody else’s were a bit lacklustre.

Heeey! HAve just been very kindly introduced to series 1 of Chuck by CJ – it might take me a bit of time to catch up to yawl on series 2, but have got to episode 4 thus far. And I really do like it. Chuck – bless! Casey – bless! I think that blonde clone-y woman who’s name escapes me may have some potential to irritate but we shall see…

Oh, it’s just such a n-i–c-e series though! It reminds me of Moonlighting and is a kinda funnier version of Alias, not taking itself too seriously! So, hopefully I shall join you all in up-to-date-land soon!
