Lost s4 ep 5

People like me will tell you that, say, ‘The Sopranos’ or ‘The West Wing’ or ‘The Wire’ are better than ‘Lost’, and taking everything into consideration we’re probably right.  But there is nothing, absolutely nothing, on the TV landscape which delivers entertainment like ‘Lost’.

In what has been a season of sensational episodes this was another cracker.  If you were looking to find fault – and this isn’t a spoiler – you might say that the concept of ‘The Constant’, the episode title and plot hinge, is introduced somewhat arbitrarily.

But that, frankly, is nitpicking.  For intelligent, well-written, challenging, popular TV there’s nothing to beat ‘Lost’ at its best; and this is ‘Lost’ at its best.

I can only concur. It was amazing.

Although, in the spirit of nitpicking, I would like to mention the hairdos. Desmond and Daniel appeared to swap hairdos with each other depending on what year it was. This worked ok for Desmond, I grant you. Daniel with a Michael Bolton cut? Not so much. Could do better, hairstylists of Lost, could do better.

Cj, you are clearly obsessed with hair.

    So are the Lost stylists.

If I was on a desert island, girlfriend, my hair would be beyond bad. Unrealistic hairstyles when everything else is so true to life… It’s just not on. 😉
