The Mentalist s4 ep 21

The discovery of a body in a burnt-out car this week lead the team to a number of suspects, a drag queen cabaret and the story of a desperately unhappy young man, looking for a way out.  For a non-Red John episode, I thought it was played much more seriously than most Mentalist mysteries (even with the drag queens) and while the message was a bit heavy-handed in its delivery, the story was poignant and well-plotted, and the final scene moving.  I enjoyed it a lot.  Well, most of it.  Summer can just naff off, obviously.

Hats off. I did not see that ending coming. Very good indeed.

Is Cho starting to get fed up with Summer?

I guessed who the firestarter was but not that he was alive so I was still very surprised. It was really good, wasn’t it?

Cho is coming to his senses.

LOVED the episode, though I recognized the boy about halfway through. It was just fun to watch, and these episodes where Lisbon and Jane work together are downright awesome. I miss them.

Plus, the main drag queen was pretty great too.

    Nice job show.

Totally agree, Kay. The show has struggled to find this type of form again this season – I hope they get there again soon…
