The Apprentice s8 Week 7
Ah, another “toot” task. The teams have to buy the “toot”, then sell the “toot”, this time in Essex. Why Essex? Why not? Toot on!

The Apprentice! Meets TOWIE! What could possibly go wrong? Err …
Oh dear. Jade, the girl with a jewel for a name, failed to dazzle in the land of vajazzle – but Azhar took the fall anyway. I’ve given up with trying to understand the internal logic of Sugar’s decisions. I’m convinced now that he only does it so he can immediately turn round to everyone on Twitter and go “Bet you didn’t expect THAT!”
Farewell to The Shorts. I’m not overly bothered, but Sugar’s reasons for firing him – people (i.e. Adam & Jade) didn’t listen to him, and some other random crap – were even weaker than usual this week.
Tom is looking increasingly unstoppable now, isn’t he? So he’s out next week, then …
I’ve also been beavering away on some numbers to show exactly why Jade deserved to lose simply because she could not grasp the impact of her constant price-cutting on the overall result. It’s been a while since I’ve put a table in a post …

I just managed to catch up with this today and am raging again. Jade was a complete disaster and firing Azhar when he was the one who pointed out the problem and suggested the same solution Lord S did is so contrary I think you might be right, Tim. Jade ignored her team telling her what products to replenish, she ignored Azhar’s suggestion to send more stuff to the market and she just generally ignored anything anyone said about anything. After last year’s result, I questioned what the point of sitting through the tasks was given the ultimate winner’s poor performance in them, andthat seems to be replicated almost weekly now with each firing bearing no real relation to performance. Argh.
And now that I’ve got that off my chest … Tom is excellent, I agree
