Nikita s1 ep 12
Hm. After a six-month hiatus, I expected something a lot more exciting from Nikita than this.
Alex is now a fully fledged agent, living outside Division, which should have been ripe for all sorts of interesting stuff, but instead we got a bunch of deeply dull (and entirely unnecessary) flashbacks and a generic blond neighbour with generic blond “get to know you” storyline to match. Yawn.
Meanwhile, Nikita spent her time fairly mercilessly using and abusing the CIA analyst guy Ryan we met sometime last year. The CIA analyst guy I’d have been entirely happy to forget about completely, that is, but bizarrely, he’s now been promoted to the opening credits; at this point, I have to ask “Really, show? That guy? A regular? Why?” Although the answer seems to be so that he can be the third leg of some kind of Mikita love triangle. Sigh. That is NOT COOL. Not cool at all.
In fact, the only really cool thing about this week (apart from the kidnap of Berkoff which was quite fun), was the scene where Michael and Nikita fought in perfect synchronicity. I think we all know how I felt about that. More, please.
