Ugly Betty s3 ep 2

Even fewer funny lines than last week’s effort, a soapier atmosphere and lots of family and relationship angst – if I wanted this kind of thing, I’d tune in to Eastenders.  Yes, there was some genuine feeling in Betty and Daniel’s (lovers’) tiff, her (no doubt temporary) victories at Mode were kind of nice, and at least it looks like a couple of the most recently stupid storylines are coming to a speedy end, but it’s not enough.  Step it up, please, writers.

PS – We couldn’t keep the facial hair for more than one week?  Sniff.
