The West Wing: The Santos Administration

I’ve never come across The Onion before, so for a moment, I thought this was true.   My joy was brief, but boundless.  Then I noticed the “story” at the bottom of the page about “Michael Phelps return(ing) to his tank at Sea World”, and I caught on.  Now, I’m disappointed.

But….um, could somebody make the cartoon anyway?  Please?  I really want to see it now, and it’s cruel to dangle that dream in front of me and then SNATCH it away.

    Why so glum, Josh?

According to the frankly genius premise, the former President who was like a father to him has died, and the current President’s (whose victory he orchestrated) party has just crashed and burned in the mid-terms. Of course he’s glum. What I’m wondering is – who’s the blonde lady? Is it Donatella Moss, or is it Helen Santos? Why are they not BOTH there? And which one of the men is meant to be Sam Seaborn?

I am now FAR too invested in this. If someone doesn’t actually make it, the disappointment may be unbearable.

I was going with first lady. Dona/I wouldn’t have worn that suit. And she was never important enough to be standing right next to the president. And she didnt join up with santos, i don’t think. And, the cartoon *looks* like mrs santos. I didn’t actually read the whole thing. Went to watch the tudors instead. Which i had recorded. I know, i know…

ACTUALLY, Dona did join up with the Santos administration – she joined the Santos campaign for election after the original candidate she worked for dropped out of the race, and in the final final final episode of the series, she took the job of Chief of Staff to the First Lady, Mrs Helen Santos. While the fantastic Josh was Chief of Staff to the Prez himself, and Sam was Josh’s deputy. Were you not paying attention?

Also, seeing as we have ComicCon and Star Wars conventions and Buffy conventions etc, I don’t think SorCon is too far a jump.

That’s the mrs santos administration surely? Anyway, she didn’t stay in that post. She ran off with a sexy retro english copper instead. Perhaps another reason why josh looks so glum…

In a word: Awesome. About 24 40 minute episodes too short though.
